Microsoft Windows 8 is shaking things up for new laptops!

With the release of all the recent software programs and new computing devices, consumers have a lot to choose from when upgrading their outdated systems. Windows 8 has changed up the computer market as manufacturers are tailoring new laptops to fit Windows 8 features to make the transition easier for consumers. To help narrow down your decision making process, trueITpros would like to point out some helpful tips regarding the new changes to laptops due to come out in October.

We are in the age of touch screens as they are appearing more and more on new devices. Touch screens on traditional laptops are becoming more popular. Windows 8 is perfect for this upgrade. Windows 8 offers seamless integration of touch, keyboard and mouse usage through the new touch screen component that only works on computers with touch screen monitors. Navigation is faster, organizing the start screen is easier and you can pan or zoom out on items with no problem. PC designers are changing screen hinges just to meet Windows 8 requirements.

If you are not in the market for a laptop, Windows 8 also has a presence on tablets and convertibles. This is making it hard for Windows RT systems to thrive. You can get all the features of Windows 8 on your standalone tablet or hybrid laptop at a cheaper price, plus there is no added cost of a keyboard dock or mouse. For example, purchasing the Windows 8 RT Tablet will kill all the birds with one stone. You must also be aware of the copy cats. A large chunk of the technology coming out is from a monkey see monkey do approach of having the exact same layout across several product lines. Convertibles convert the same and slider laptops will slide in the same direction all because PC makers want to sell you a product that looks like Windows 8. The elements that will stand out are not so bright and shiny anymore.

The trick is to make sure you evaluate all the features and find the computing device that best fits your needs and lifestyle. We hope you have fun selecting the best product when shopping this fall season.
