Use your cell phone as an organization tool to help clean up your life.

organization toolWho doesn’t need a master organization tool to move smoothly through life? Everyone has some formula or method to the madness that is their life. 1 + 1 = 3? Maybe your cell phone can calculate your steps a little better. Believe it or not, we rely on our cell phones as an organization tool more often than not at all. Think about all the times you have used your phone’s alarm clock to wake up in the morning. It’s a secondary clock after the alarm clock on your night stand has been flung across the room at 6am. You wouldn’t throw your phone against the wall would you? Let’s take a closer look at how your cell phone can be the greatest organization tool you’ll ever need. It can help you run your business with ease.

To-Do-List: The iPhone has been living in back pockets and briefcases five generations strong. It’s made people camp out all night and push grandmas out of the way just for a glimpse. Orchestra is the to-do-list you need to get your daily task completed on time. For example you can add tasks by typing, voice dictation or email. If you know other orchestra users you can coordinate tasks together as this tool can be shared with perfect harmony.

You can do anything with Any.Do. This awesome app is available on android and iOS. Get things done by adding, removing and prioritizing your tasks with simple gestures. If you miss something, Any.Do. will grab your attention by sending you a prewritten message as a reminder. Never be late to a board meeting again.

Note Taking: Ever took a note with Evernote? Then you know how cool this app is for everything. Let’s say you are driving and recall a few things that you absolutely need to finish by the end of the day. Pick up your iPhone and use Evernote to speak your to-do-list into the phone. Evernote will transcribe the notes into searchable text. Your tasks are easy to find for later. Evernote is also available on Android devices so anyone can access this organization tool.

Google it and keep it too. Android users, especially Galaxy S 3 and 4 users, can enjoy Google apps at any time. Now they can take notes through the Google Keep app. This tool keeps your every move by logging reminders, lists, images and voice notes. It’s a search tool, so your searches are stored as well for easy access. Your notes are automatically stored in Google Drive for safe keeping.

This is just a glimpse at how you can organize your small business or personal life. Join us next time in our series when we talk about the nifty ways you can handle scheduling. We will also discuss some bonus features that will help you get better organized.
